October Blog - Why Handmade Gifts Mean More

Why Handmade Gifts Mean More

When I think about handmade gifts, I do not just think about the finished product. I think about the hands, time, creativity, and love that went into making it.

Some of my fondest memories of Christmas go back to when I was a little girl and absolutely loved Barbie dolls. One Christmas, I received dolls and doll clothes—clothes for every occasion. Dresses, pants, blouses…my Barbie dolls were definitely the best dressed dolls around!

But what made those clothes even more special? My mom had hand-sewn every single piece. And my mom was quite the seamstress.

She could take scraps of fabric, bits of ribbon, and a little imagination and turn them into something beautiful. At the time, I simply knew that my dolls had the most wonderful wardrobe. Looking back now, I realize there was so much more behind those little outfits.

My mom had taken the time to make something especially for me. She created something that no one else had. And it brought me so much joy.

That is what I love about handmade.

When I create something for a customer, I love knowing that I am making something unique—something created with that particular person in mind.

Every piece starts with an idea.

Sometimes it is an idea I have seen and want to put my own creative spin on. Other times, a customer comes to me with an idea and asks, “Can you make this?”

Then the creating begins.

A little paint here. Some glitter there. Vinyl, rhinestones, color, texture, and plenty of creativity. Sometimes the original idea changes along the way as I discover what works best. Eventually, that idea becomes something tangible—a tumbler, a pen, a gift, or another handcrafted creation.

And then comes my favorite part: knowing that something I made may bring a little joy to someone else.

That is why handmade gifts mean more to me.

It is not simply about owning something that is pretty or useful. It is about knowing that someone took the time to create something special.

We are handmade, too.

There is something else that comes to mind when I think about creating.

God is the ultimate Creator.

Scripture tells us that He formed us and knew us before we were born. We are not mass-produced or accidental. Each of us was created uniquely and wonderfully in the image of God.

And just as God has made each of us unique, He has also given each of us different gifts and talents.

Some people can sew.

Some can paint.

Some can build.

Some can sing.

Some can teach.

Some can encourage.

Some have a gift for caring for others.

And some of us simply love making things with glitter. Lots and lots of glitter. ✨

Our gifts may look different, but they all have value.

We are called to use what God has given us to serve others—to show love, encourage one another, and share the gifts we have been given.

That is something I try to remember when I am creating.

Whether I am making a custom tumbler, a personalized pen, or a gift for someone special, I want more than just a finished product.

I want to create something that brings joy.

Something that makes someone smile.

Something that reminds them they are special.

Just like my mom's handmade Barbie clothes reminded me that Christmas morning all those years ago.

Those little outfits were made from scraps of fabric and ribbon.

But to me, they were treasures.

Because they were made with love.

And maybe that is the real beauty of handmade gifts.

They are not just made by hand. They are made with heart.

At Aimee's Craft Addiction, I am grateful for every opportunity to create something special for someone else.

Because handmade is more than something I make.

It is a little piece of joy I get to pass along.

Experience the Joy of Handcrafted. πŸ’œ✨

September Blog - Trust the Process: Embracing the Seasons of Life

Trust the Process: Embracing the Seasons of Life

There is a season, turn, turn, turn…
And a time for every purpose under heaven.

Every year around this time, I find myself thinking about those words from Ecclesiastes. Maybe it's because September is a month of transition. Summer isn't quite over, but fall is beginning to whisper that it's on its way.

The days are still warm, but slowly the temperatures begin to cool. The daylight grows shorter. And before long, the lush green leaves on the trees will begin to transform into beautiful shades of yellow, orange, red, and brown.

It's all part of God's design.

And lately, I've been thinking about how much the changing seasons remind me of life—and even of crafting.

If you've ever watched a tumbler-making tutorial, you've probably heard a maker say, "Trust the process."

Sometimes, when I'm watching the video, I'm thinking, There is absolutely no way that is going to turn out!

The cup may look messy. The colors don't seem to be working. There are layers upon layers being added, and somewhere along the way I start wondering if the maker has completely lost their mind.

But then they keep going.

They trust the process.

And somehow, when the final layer is added and everything comes together, that messy tumbler becomes something beautiful.

Life can be like that too.

Sometimes life gets messy. We think we've finally gotten a grip on things, and then something changes. A new challenge comes along. Plans don't work out the way we expected. A door closes. Another one opens. And suddenly, we're standing in a completely different season than the one we thought we were in.

Just when we think we've figured things out, God reminds us that He is still working.

And sometimes, we simply have to trust the process.

That isn't always easy.

I don't always understand what God is doing. I don't always understand why things happen when they do. And, if I'm being completely honest, sometimes I'd really like God to give me the finished picture before I have to walk through the messy middle.

But that's not usually how faith works.

Faith means trusting God even when we can't see the finished product.

Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us:

«"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight."»

God has never promised that every season will be easy. But He has promised to be with us through every season.

He is faithful.
He is merciful.
He provides for our needs.
And He doesn't abandon us when life gets messy.

The same is true in my crafting journey.

Just when I think I've finally figured out the latest design, technique, or trend, I see something new. A new idea. A new technique. A new product. A new style that makes me think, Well, I guess I'm learning something new again!

And maybe that's okay.

Maybe we're not supposed to have everything figured out.

Maybe we're supposed to keep learning, keep growing, keep creating, and keep trusting the One who knows the whole picture.

September reminds us that change is inevitable.

Summer gives way to fall. Green leaves give way to brilliant colors. Longer days give way to shorter ones. And eventually, fall will give way to winter.

But none of those changes surprise God.

He designed the seasons.

And He designed us for seasons too.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 says:

«"For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven."»

So as September begins, I'm reminding myself to embrace the season I'm in.

I don't know what tomorrow holds.

I don't know what the next season will bring.

I don't know what God is working on behind the scenes.

But I do know this:

God is in control.

And He has always been faithful.

So I'll keep creating. I'll keep learning. I'll keep growing. I'll keep trusting.

And when life looks a little messy, I'll try to remember what I've learned while making tumblers:

Trust the process.

Because sometimes what looks like a mess in the middle is simply something beautiful that isn't finished yet.

And if God is still working, then I can trust that He isn't finished with me either.

πŸ’œ Here's to a new season—and to trusting the One who holds every season in His hands.

"To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven."
— Ecclesiastes 3:1

August Blog - Trusting God to Guide Every Step

Trusting God to Guide Every Step

Welcome, August!

Summer is still in full swing. The days are warm, the sun is shining, and there are still plenty of opportunities to enjoy everything this beautiful season has to offer. Yet, if we pay attention, we can see the signs that a new season is approaching. The days are gradually growing shorter, children and teachers are preparing to head back to school, and before long, autumn will be knocking at our door.

As for me...I get a couple of weeks off from my paralegal classes before they resume later this month. I have to admit, I'm looking forward to the break.

Sometimes it feels like there simply aren't enough hours in the day—or enough days in the week. Between work, school, creating handcrafted gifts, preparing for vendor events, filling custom orders, and trying to keep up with everyday life, my to-do list seems to grow faster than I can cross things off.

That's when I know it's time to slow down, enjoy the season, and simply take a deep breath.

In those moments, I close my eyes, breathe deeply, and ask God to take over. I remind myself that I don't have to have every answer or control every outcome. I simply need to trust the One who does.

I'm reminded of the beautiful poem Footprints in the Sand. I love the image of footprints stretching along the water's edge. The poem reminds us that when we think we are walking alone, those single set of footprints are often the moments when God is carrying us. Sometimes He carries us through difficult seasons. Other times, He places just the right people in our lives to help us along the way. Either way, His plan is always better than my own.

This weekend, God gave me another reminder to trust Him.

On Friday, I found myself checking the weather forecast over and over again. The forecast called for rain and thunderstorms on Saturday with what seemed like absolute certainty. I had already signed up and paid to be a vendor at Summer Fest, and I was really looking forward to the event. I knew it would be well attended—if only the weather would cooperate.

Saturday morning, I woke up and immediately checked my messages. No cancellations.

I got ready, looked at the weather radar one more time, and headed to the event. I was still nervous. As I set up my booth, I added a couple of sidewalls to my canopy just in case the rain decided to move in.

Then the event opened.

People came. They shopped. We visited. I shared my handcrafted creations, handed out business cards, and met so many wonderful people throughout the day.

And the rain?

We made it through the entire event with only a few sprinkles.

As I drove home, I couldn't help but smile. I had spent so much time worrying about what might happen that I almost missed the excitement of what God had already planned. He knew the weather. He knew who would stop by my booth. He knew every conversation I would have and every sale I would make.

God is so good.

Over the next couple of weeks, I'll be organizing my craft room, working on custom orders, creating inventory for upcoming vendor events, and enjoying a brief break before classes begin again. There is still plenty to do, but I'm choosing to take it one day at a time, trusting God to guide each step.

As I prepare for another busy season, these words from Scripture will stay close to my heart:

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."
Joshua 1:9 (NIV)

Whatever August holds for you, I pray you'll find moments to slow down, breathe deeply, and remember that you don't have to carry every burden alone. Whether God is walking beside you, carrying you through a difficult season, or sending someone to lend a helping hand, He is faithful.

So, welcome, August. I'm ready to embrace this new month with gratitude, faith, and the confidence that God is guiding every step of the way.

Wishing you a month filled with sunshine, peace, and many unexpected blessings.

God bless, Aimee

Faith, Freedom & Fireworks--America's 250th

Faith, Freedom & Fireworks

This year, we celebrate 250 years of the United States of America. What an incredible milestone!

I often find myself wondering what our Founding Fathers were really like. What would they think if they could see America today?

I believe they would be amazed by many things—the advances in technology, medicine, communication, and the opportunities available to so many people. At the same time, I think they would also be saddened by some of what they see. Healthy debate has too often been replaced with insults, division, and personal attacks. We don't always agree, and that's okay. But I believe we can disagree while still treating one another with dignity and respect.

I'm currently taking classes to earn my paralegal certification, and one of the topics we've been studying is the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Reading those documents has given me an even greater appreciation for the wisdom and foresight of those who laid our nation's foundation. They understood the importance of protecting individual liberties, and over the years our country has continued building upon that foundation to expand rights and opportunities for women, minorities, and many others.πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²

Despite our imperfections, I am proud to be an American. Our nation has endured wars, economic hardship, tragedy, and growing pains. Through it all, America has continued to strive toward becoming a better nation.

One freedom I especially treasure is the freedom to practice my faith. As a Christian, I am thankful that I can worship openly, attend church, and speak about my faith without fear. Scripture reminds us that freedom is a gift from God. Galatians 5:1 says, "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free." And 2 Corinthians 3:17 tells us, "Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom." I also appreciate that people of other faiths—whether Jewish, Muslim, or another religion—have the same freedom to worship according to their beliefs. That freedom is something worth protecting.  One nation under God.  Psalm 33:12 says, "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord." πŸ™

My gratitude also extends to the brave men and women who have served, and continue to serve, in our military. Their sacrifice has preserved the freedoms we enjoy every day. Their courage deserves our deepest respect and thanks. Home of the free because of the Brave. πŸͺ–πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²πŸŽ–

Of course, Independence Day is also filled with simple joys—warm summer evenings, hometown parades, backyard barbecues, laughter with family and friends, and fireworks painting the night sky with brilliant color.πŸŽ‡πŸ§¨

As a maker, fireworks have always reminded me a little of crafting. Every sparkle is unique. Every burst creates something beautiful for just a moment. Handmade creations are much the same. Each tumbler, pen, keychain, or gift I make is created one piece at a time, with care, creativity, and a little sparkle mixed in. No two are exactly alike, and that's part of what makes handcrafted items so special.

- Galatians 5:1 — "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free."
- 2 Corinthians 3:17 — "Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom."
- Psalm 33:12 — "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord."
- Romans 12:18 — "If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone."
- Micah 6:8 — "Act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God."

This Fourth of July, I hope you'll take time to celebrate not only our nation's history, but also the people around you, the freedoms we often take for granted, and the simple joy of creating memories together. Romans 12:18 reminds us to "live at peace with everyone," and Micah 6:8 calls us to "act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God."

From my family to yours, have a safe, joyful, and blessed Independence Day.

God bless America.

June Reflections: Glitter, Grace, and Gratitude

June arrives like a burst of sunshine and glitter — full of long evenings, baseball games, celebrations, vacations, vendor events, and creative inspiration. The summer solstice reminds us that the days are long, the flowers are blooming, and life feels beautifully busy.

This month brings so many reasons to celebrate. Fathers Day gatherings filled with laughter. Graduations marking new beginnings. Weddings and anniversaries celebrating love and commitment. New classes, fresh opportunities, and exciting adventures ahead. Even the simple things — warm weather, a good conversation, a rhinestone project spread across the craft table, or cheering at a baseball game — are blessings we sometimes overlook.

As creators, many of us spend June making all the things: glitter projects sparkling under bright summer light, rhinestone tumblers shining with thousands of tiny stones, handcrafted gifts made with love for life’s special moments. Creativity itself is a gift from God. The ability to create beauty with our hands reflects the Creator Himself.
But if we are honest, busyness can sneak in quietly.

Schedules fill up. Orders pile up. Events crowd the calendar. We rush from one thing to the next, and before we know it, we have spent more time checking to-do lists than thanking the One who made all these blessings possible.

I catch myself doing that sometimes.
In the middle of all the excitement and activity, I forget to slow down long enough to simply say, “Thank You, Lord.”
Thank You for family. Thank You for opportunities. Thank You for creativity. Thank You for provision. Thank You for another season. Thank You for every small joy and every answered prayer.

Scripture reminds us in James 1:17 that “Every good and perfect gift is from above.” Every blessing — both big and small — comes from God.  Not just the major milestones. Not just the big successes. Every good thing.

The laughter during summer evenings. The customers who support small businesses. The friends who encourage us. The strength to keep going. The peace after a difficult season. The creativity to make something beautiful from ordinary materials.
All of it is grace.

So this June, while the calendar stays full and the projects keep sparkling, I want to be intentional about gratitude. Not rushed gratitude. Not a quick prayer while multitasking. Real gratitude.

Maybe that means watching a sunset without scrolling a phone. Maybe it means praying before opening the next order. Maybe it means thanking God while placing rhinestones one by one. Maybe it means simply sitting quietly and recognizing how faithful He has been.

Life moves fast. Summer moves even faster. But gratitude helps us slow down enough to recognize the goodness of God woven through every moment.

And honestly? Glitter is prettier when your heart is grateful. ✨

Trusting God With Your Work and Creativity

If I’m being honest, there are days when everything flows… and days when it feels like nothing is working.
Days when you feel productive, inspired, and confident.
And then there are days when you’re wondering,
“Lord… am I even doing this right?”
Whether you’re running a business, working a job, raising a family, going to school, or creating something with your hands—those feelings are real.
Because this isn’t just about crafting.
It’s about showing up in your work—whatever that looks like—and trusting God in the middle of it.
That’s where this verse keeps speaking to me:
“Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him, and He will act.” — Psalm 37:5
Not might act.
Not if everything goes perfectly.
He will act.
That doesn’t always mean instant results or everything falling into place overnight.
Sometimes it means He’s working behind the scenes—guiding you, strengthening you, and shaping your path in ways you can’t yet see.
Here’s the truth we all need to remember:
✨ Your work has purpose.
✨ Your effort matters.
✨ The place you are in right now is not by accident.
And the world may measure success by numbers, recognition, or results…
But God sees something deeper: faithfulness.
Are you showing up?
Are you doing your best with what you’ve been given?
Are you trusting Him—even when things feel uncertain?
That’s what matters.
So today, whether you’re:
Heading into a long workday
Building something of your own
Caring for others
Or simply trying to stay motivated
Remember this:
You’re not just working.
You’re walking in purpose.
And even when it feels quiet…
God is still moving.

From Broken to Beautiful: What Easter Teaches Us About Renewal

From Broken to Beautiful: What Easter Teaches Us About Renewal

April has a way of waking everything up.

After months of gray skies and quiet stillness, spring steps in like a gentle reminder that life is not finished—it is simply waiting. Trees begin to bloom, tulips and daffodils push through the soil, and the world slowly shakes off its winter hibernation. What once looked lifeless becomes vibrant, fresh, and new.

And right in the middle of this season of renewal, we celebrate Easter.

Easter is not just a holiday—it is the ultimate story of transformation. It is the reminder that even in our darkest, most broken moments, God is still working. Through the sacrifice of Christ, we are given something we could never earn on our own: redemption, grace, and new life.

There is something deeply comforting about knowing that God does not expect perfection. He meets us right where we are—messy, flawed, and unfinished—and begins a work in us that only He can complete. What the world might see as broken, He sees as redeemable. What feels like an ending, He turns into a beginning.

I think about this often while I am creating.

Every handcrafted piece I make starts out simple. A plain, colorless stainless steel tumbler. Just a blank surface—nothing special at first glance. But then comes the process. Layers of paint. Careful placement of glitter. Time, patience, and epoxy transforming it piece by piece.

It does not happen instantly. There are moments in the process that look messy. Imperfect. Unfinished.

But slowly, something beautiful begins to emerge.

What once was ordinary becomes something unique. Something meaningful. Something worth treasuring.

In a small way, that process reflects what God does in us.

He takes the raw, unpolished parts of our lives—the mistakes, the struggles, the seasons where we feel stuck—and He begins to transform them. Not overnight, and not without process, but with purpose. With intention. With love.

Just like no two handmade creations are exactly alike, each one of us is uniquely designed. We are not mass-produced. We are intentionally created, crafted in the image of God, with purpose woven into every part of who we are.

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” – Ephesians 2:10

And here is the truth that Easter reminds us of:
We are not defined by our brokenness.
We are defined by His ability to restore us.

This April, as you see the flowers blooming and the world coming back to life, let it be a reminder of what is happening within you too. Renewal is not just something we see in nature—it is something God is constantly doing in our hearts.

You are not too far gone.
You are not too imperfect.
You are not beyond repair.

You are a work in progress—and that is a beautiful place to be.

Spring is also a season of celebration—graduations, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and meaningful moments worth remembering. If you are looking for a thoughtful, personalized gift, I would love to create something just for you. From custom tumblers and pens to unique keepsakes, each piece is handcrafted with care and designed to reflect the person receiving it.

Because just like those creations…
you, too, are being made into something beautiful.

From Winter to Bloom: Trusting God with New Beginnings

From Winter to Bloom: Trusting God with New Beginnings
I love spring.
The sound of birds returning.
Buds forming on trees.
Flowers peeking through the soil after months of cold.
Grass turning green again.
Warmer temperatures.
Longer days filled with light.
Spring feels refreshing. Everything that looked lifeless suddenly begins to breathe again. After a long, cold winter, the world slowly wakes up.
And every single year, it reminds me of something deeper.
From Plain to Beautiful
Transformation is what I do in the craft room.
A plain tumbler becomes a sparkling beauty.
A simple, dull pen becomes a rhinestone-covered statement piece.
What starts as ordinary becomes something eye-catching and unique.
But here’s the honest truth: the transformation doesn’t happen instantly.
There are layers.
Dry time.
Patience.
Trust in the process.
Sometimes it even looks messy before it becomes beautiful.
Sound familiar?
God’s Transforming Work
God does the same thing with us.
He takes us as we are — not polished, not perfect, not “finished.” He doesn’t wait until we shine on our own. He takes us into His hands and begins the work.
Through His Word.
Through seasons of waiting.
Through lessons we didn’t ask for.
Through growth we sometimes resist.
If we believe and study His Word, He transforms our hearts to reflect Him more and more. It’s not about becoming someone fake or flawless. It’s about becoming new.
Just like spring doesn’t rush the bloom, God doesn’t rush our growth.
Winter seasons may feel long. Cold. Quiet. Even discouraging.
But roots grow deep in winter.
And when the time is right, what was hidden begins to bloom.
Trusting the New Beginning
Maybe this season feels like early spring for you.
Not fully warm yet.
Not fully blooming.
But something is shifting.
Trust that.
Trust that God is working beneath the surface.
Trust that what feels dormant isn’t dead.
Trust that new beginnings often start small — like buds on branches or tiny shoots pushing through frozen ground.
Transformation takes time.
But in His hands? It is always worth it.
And just like spring returns every year without fail, His faithfulness does too.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation…” — 2 Corinthians 5:17

Do Everything In Love

Doing Everything in Love

February is traditionally a month when we think about love. Maybe it’s because we’re growing weary of cold, dreary winter days, and love gives us something bright and positive to focus on.

The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 16:14, “Do everything in love.” Simple words, big challenge. Sometimes, this is hard. In moments of anger or frustration, it’s easy to act out of vengeance or impatience rather than love. Yet God calls us to let love guide everything we do.

Love shows up in many forms—loving a spouse, a child, or a friend. It can even be as lighthearted as loving your favorite candy, snack, or hobby—like crafting and glitter! Each hand-crafted piece we make receives a little love (and prayer) as it’s being created, turning ordinary materials into something beautiful.
Love also shows up in how we appreciate the world around us: the beauty of nature, the changing seasons, or even the quiet moments we might otherwise overlook. And challenges? They, too, can be an opportunity for love—when we respond with patience, kindness, and grace, even when it’s difficult.
So this February, take a moment to reflect: how do you show love in everything you do? Even small acts—words of encouragement, a thoughtful gesture, or a little creativity—can shine with God’s love in the world.

New Beginnings

New Beginnings

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
2 Corinthians 5:17

As 2025 comes to a close, I find myself intentionally focusing on the year ahead. A new year brings new beginnings—a fresh start—and Scripture reminds us that in Christ, we are continually being made new.

God promises that He has a plan for us. His plan is to prosper us, to love us, and to provide exactly what we need. He also reminds us that His ways are higher than our ways, beyond human understanding. What feels impossible to us is always possible with God.

He has proven that truth in my own life time and time again. For a long season, I prayed for God to intervene. There were moments when His silence felt heavy and the challenges felt unbearable. Yet, in His perfect timing, unexpected events unfolded—and blessings followed in ways I never could have imagined.

As I look forward to 2026, I do so with hope and trust in God’s continued guidance. New beginnings for me will include enrolling in online classes, continuing to grow in my new job, spending intentional time with family, and making thoughtful adjustments to my craft business.

Let me say this clearly—my craft business isn’t going anywhere. I’m not closing up shop or disappearing. However, I am making adjustments to ensure I have balance in my life and the time needed to succeed in my coursework and other responsibilities. This season will be about working smarter, not harder.

What to Watch For:
πŸ’»Updates to my online presence
πŸ›A continued focus on customer service
πŸ–‹Thoughtful changes as my plan comes together.

Be sure to watch my Facebook page for details as they roll out.

Crafting remains my therapy—my way to de-stress and recharge—so I will absolutely continue creating. I’m incredibly grateful for each and every person who has supported me along the way. Your encouragement means more than you know.

As I step into the new year, I look forward to continuing to help others—whether through my profession, through church, or through creating custom handcrafted products made with care and purpose.

Here’s to new beginnings and trusting God’s plan. πŸ’œ

Wonder of wonders

Wonder of Wonders

As I sit in my warm living room, watching the snow fall softly outside while our Christmas tree glows with twinkling lights and ornaments, I’m reminded of Christmas memories from years gone by. My table is scattered with scraps of vinyl, glitter, and half-finished projects as I work on custom Christmas orders, and even in the busyness, my heart keeps circling back to the why behind it all.

I think of the wonder and excitement I felt as a child, eagerly anticipating the reward for having been “good” all year. I remember the sleepless Christmas Eve nights, listening for any sound that might mean gifts were being quietly placed under the tree.

Then I think of the sheer joy of watching my own children light up with excitement over the treasures waiting for them on Christmas morning—the squeals, the wrapping paper everywhere, the sparkle in their eyes. Those moments are precious and beautiful.

Yet, as special as those memories are, they are nothing compared to the wonder the shepherds experienced one starry night in Bethlehem.

Just imagine it: a few ordinary men out in the fields, simply doing their job, tending their sheep. It begins as a normal night—quiet, routine, uneventful. Then suddenly, everything changes.

Out of nowhere, a host of angels appears, dazzling in God’s glory, lighting up the night sky. They tell the shepherds not to be afraid, but to rejoice, because a Savior has been born. Not a distant king, not an unreachable ruler—but a Savior for them, for us.

The angels tell them where to go, and the shepherds hurry to find the baby Jesus, just as they were told—wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger, with Mary and Joseph nearby in that humble stable.

What a wonder that first Christmas must have been.

God’s only Son, born not in a palace but in a manger. Born so that we might be saved from our sins. Born to bring hope, light, and life to a broken world. Truly, the best gift ever.

As I create and share handmade gifts during this season—cups, pens, ornaments, little treasures meant to bring a smile—I’m reminded that every gift we give is just a tiny reflection of that greatest gift given to us in Bethlehem. My prayer is that each piece I make carries not just sparkle and color, but also a reminder of the hope and love we have in Jesus.

This holiday season, I hope you are able to slow down, look beyond the wrapping paper and busy schedules, and experience the true wonder of the season—the Savior who came near.

> “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.”
— Luke 2:11 (KJV)

Counting Blessings in November

It’s hard to believe ten months of 2025 are already behind us—and in just two short months, we’ll be welcoming a brand-new year! The cooler temps, shorter days, trees shedding their colorful leaves, and that unmistakable hint of pumpkin spice in the air are all reminders that fall is in full swing.

November always feels like a month for reflection. It’s a time to pause and really take stock of our blessings. Life moves fast—between work, family, and daily routines, it’s easy to get caught up in what needs to be done instead of appreciating what’s already been given.

When I stop and look around, I realize just how much God has blessed me. A wonderful, supportive husband. Two phenomenal kids. Parents who raised me to have faith and trust in the Lord. Brothers who will drop whatever they’re doing to help their little sister. Beautiful, sassy nieces and nephews who keep life interesting. A village of coworkers and friends who’ve encouraged and supported me through new chapters. A loving church family and a pastor who helps strengthen my walk with God.

And of course, the opportunity to create—to pour my heart into projects that bring a little joy and sparkle to others. I’m also so thankful for you—my customers, followers, and friends—who have cheered me on and supported my small business journey. Whether you’ve ordered from me, shared a post, or simply followed along, please know how much I appreciate you. I may not always say it enough, but I truly thank God for placing you in my life.

As you begin planning your family gatherings and holiday traditions, I encourage you to take a few quiet moments to pause and reflect on the blessings in your life. Big or small, each one is a gift from a God who provides for every need—home, food, clothes, love, and grace upon grace.

If you’re thinking about gifting something handmade and meaningful this Christmas, now’s the perfect time to start planning. Custom orders will be accepted through November 30th, so I can make sure each piece is crafted with the care and detail it deserves.

“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.” – Psalm 107:1

With gratitude and glitter,

Footprints Through Fall

Footprints Through the Fall

One of my favorite poems has always been Footprints in the Sand—that image of a single set of footprints on the beach, paired with the author’s desperate question: “Lord, where were You when I needed You most?” Only to learn that in those moments, God wasn’t distant at all—He was carrying them.

Lately, I’ve been living that poem.

October has come in like a whirlwind. I started a new job. My mom fell, broke her arm, and has been in the hospital and rehab. At church, I joined the handbell choir. I was in band over 40 years ago, so now I’m dusting off long-forgotten music skills.

The days are getting shorter, the air is cooler, pumpkins are popping up on porches, and the trees are quietly slipping into their golden farewell before the leaves fall.

And at the end of each day, my body isn’t just tired—it’s exhausted.   In those moments, I catch myself asking God a very honest question:    You promised not to give me more than I can handle… so how much do You think I can handle, exactly?

But then I remember another promise:
“Come to me, all who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

Life doesn’t pause when we’re overwhelmed. Yet even in the chaos, God remains in control. He gives us what we need—often before we realize we needed it at all. Sometimes it looks like the wisdom of a doctor. Or help from our village. Or a quiet Sunday afternoon nap. Or simply the beauty of a crisp fall morning that reminds us we’re still being held.

Soon the trees will be bare, and we’ll shift our gaze toward Thanksgiving. But I don’t have to wait for a holiday to be grateful. I can already say this with full certainty: God has carried me through these past few weeks, and I trust Him to keep walking—sometimes beside me, sometimes ahead of me, and sometimes with me cradled in His arms, leaving just one set of footprints in the sand.

Scripture Reminder:
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28

A Season of Change, A Season of Trust

A Season of Change, A Season of Trust

Fall has always been a season of beauty and transformation. The air grows cooler, the days grow shorter, and the trees paint the world with vibrant shades of gold, crimson, and amber. Every year, creation reminds us of God’s perfect design—there is indeed “a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens” (Ecclesiastes 3:1).

This fall feels especially like a season of change for me. After 15 years, my job is being eliminated due to budget reductions. It’s not easy to say goodbye to something that has been such a steady part of my life. Change often brings both pain and possibility, and I am holding both in my heart. At the same time, our church is preparing to say farewell to our pastor, who has accepted an amazing opportunity elsewhere. He is a wonderful shepherd who has poured so much love, wisdom, and truth into our congregation, and he will be deeply missed.

Yet, in the midst of change, God gently reminds me that His plans always prevail. Life on earth may shift and surprise us, but nothing surprises Him. He already knows the road ahead. His Word promises: “For I know the plans I have for you…plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11).

So, while this season comes with some bittersweet goodbyes, I also look forward to what’s ahead: time to create new crafty designs with joy, the anticipation of family gatherings, the beauty and excitement of celebrating our Savior’s birth, and the hope of a brand-new year filled with fresh beginnings.

Change isn’t always easy, but fall reminds us that God makes transitions beautiful. Just as the leaves let go to make way for new life, I’m learning to let go and trust His timing.

Because even when life feels uncertain—God’s plan is certain.

Stronger Than I Look: Finding Strength Through Christ (and a Little Glitter)

Verse of the Month:
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." – Philippians 4:13

Let’s just get this out there—I am not what you'd call “physically strong.” I’ve never been athletic. In fact, I used to joke that when God handed out muscle, I must’ve been in the glitter line instead.

A few weeks ago, I had surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff, and let me tell you... I was reminded (not so gently) of my lack of physical strength. Healing has been slow. My body moves at a different pace these days, and recovery has been humbling. It’s easy to wonder, What if I had taken better care of myself all those years? Would this be easier?

But in the quiet moments—when I can't lift, reach, or do all the physical things I want—I’ve been reminded of something bigger:

God doesn’t measure strength the way we do.

Some people have told me they see strength in me—not in my arms or back, but in my patience, in how I stick with things, how I quietly persevere when life is hard. And truthfully? Those aren’t strengths I naturally recognize in myself. In fact, there have been seasons where I felt so fragile I wondered how I’d make it through another day.

But that’s the key. I didn’t make it through alone.   It’s only because of my faith in God—because He’s given me His Son and the Holy Spirit to walk alongside me—that I’ve made it through the deepest valleys.

We’re empty nesters now, and life’s a little quieter. But challenges still come. And I still need His strength. Every. Single. Day.

God, in His goodness, has also given me the gift of crafting—a place to pour joy, color, and a little sparkle into the world, even when my body is limited. When I create, I feel a kind of strength rise up—not physical strength, but the kind that comes from purpose, peace, and the steady presence of the Holy Spirit.

So no, I’m not a bodybuilder. But through Christ?

I am strong enough.

Stronger than I look. Stronger than I feel.
Because His strength is made perfect in my weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9), and I’ll take that kind of strength any day.

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ What Does America Mean to You? πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Every July, the smell of grilled hot dogs and the pop of fireworks in the sky mark more than just another holiday. For me, July 4th is a sacred reminder of the incredible heritage we’ve been given as Americans. It’s more than parades and sparklers—it's a celebration of the freedoms that were fought for, bled for, and too often forgotten.

Our forefathers fought and died to give us a nation rooted in liberty:
πŸ‘‰ Freedom to worship without fear.
πŸ‘‰ Freedom to speak our minds—even if we don’t all agree.
πŸ‘‰ Freedom to vote and have a voice in our future.

These freedoms weren’t handed to us wrapped in a bow—they were earned through grit, loss, and an unshakable belief in what this country could be.

> “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he chose for his inheritance.”
– Psalm 33:12

For the past six years, I’ve had the privilege—and the heartache—of being a Blue Star mom. That means someone I love deeply wears the uniform, serves our nation, and stands ready to defend those very freedoms we sometimes take for granted. And let me tell you, when your child raises their hand to serve, suddenly the word freedom takes on a whole new weight.

I see it all the time—people forgetting. Forgetting that our freedom came at a steep price. That millions perished to give us the right to argue, to worship, to build lives on our own terms. Sometimes I get discouraged when I see people complaining that freedom means “everything should be free”—as if the right to pursue a good life means it should just be handed to us.

Or when freedom of religion gets twisted into an excuse to mock or persecute people of faith—especially Christians and Jews. That’s not freedom. That’s intolerance dressed up in hypocrisy.

And don’t even get me started on the politicians who get rich while claiming they’re “serving the people.” I’m pretty sure our founding fathers didn’t cross an ocean and go to war so someone could pad their bank account in the name of patriotism.

Sometimes I find myself longing for a simpler America—one where hard work was honored, where a person could have a home, a job, and raise their family without fear of being targeted for what they believe. Not a perfect past, but a place where faith, family, and freedom weren’t buzzwords—they were real.

> “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”
– Galatians 5:1

And while I love this country and the freedoms it offers, the greatest freedom I have isn’t found in the Constitution—it’s found at the foot of the Cross. God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to offer us freedom—freedom from sin, from shame, from eternal separation. Real freedom. Eternal freedom. All He asks in return is that we believe in Him and trust in His plan for our lives.

> “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”
– John 8:36

This July, I’m challenging myself—and you—to pause between the fireworks and BBQs and ask:
What does America mean to you?
Not the headlines. Not the politics. But at its core. What do you cherish most about being an American? And even more importantly—what does freedom in Christ mean to you?

Let’s not forget what this country was built on. Let’s remember what so many have sacrificed to give us. And maybe, just maybe, let’s live like we still believe that liberty—both earthly and eternal—is worth defending.

With gratitude and hope,

Faith, Family & Freedom: A June Full of Love

πŸ’• Faith, Family & Freedom: A June Full of Love

Hello sweet friends!

Can you believe it’s already June? The year is half over (what?!), and here we are stepping into summer with sandals on our feet and iced tea in hand. June always feels like a big, sparkly swirl of love, celebration, and sunshine… and this year is no different!

Let’s start with something dear to my heart — the beautiful reminder found in 1 Corinthians 13. You know the one. It’s the “love chapter.” And oh, how perfect it is for this season.

> "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud..." (1 Corinthians 13:4)

As we celebrate all kinds of love this month — from proud parents beaming at their graduates, to families honoring devoted dads, to my hubby and I thanking God for another year of marriage — this verse grounds us. Whether you're cheering from the bleachers, flipping burgers for your crew, or just holding hands on the porch swing, love is at the center of it all.

---

πŸŽ“ Hats Off to the Grads

To all the grads out there — from preschool to PhDs — you did it! You pushed through challenges, worked hard, and grew in so many ways. I see you and I’m cheering loud! I’ve even been crafting a few special graduation gift card holders and keepsakes to help families celebrate their graduates in handmade style. (Yes, I may or may not have added glitter…)

---

πŸ‘” Celebrating Dads (and Grandpas and Bonus Dads, too!)

Father’s Day is coming up quick, and it’s a perfect chance to honor the guys who quietly fix all the broken things, grill like kings, give the best hugs, and lead with strength and love. I’ve been crafting some fun Father’s Day pens that say things like “Fixer of All Things” and “Grill. Nap. Repeat.” (because let’s be honest — that’s the real dad agenda).

---

πŸ’ Our Anniversary — A Sweet Reminder of God’s Faithfulness

This month, my hubby and I are celebrating our wedding anniversary. It’s not just a date on the calendar — it’s a testimony of God's grace, patience, humor, and a whole lotta love through the years. Marriage is beautiful and messy and full of growth, and I wouldn’t trade a moment of our story.

---

☀️ Summer Begins: Let the Festivities Roll!

With the official start of summer comes all the things I love — county fairs, local festivals, fresh lemonade, and front porch sittin’. I’m already thinking of funnel cakes and fireworks! (And let’s not forget trying to keep glitter from sticking to literally everything in this heat — it’s a full-time job, y’all.)

---

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Cup of the Month: Red, White & Beautiful

June’s Cup of the Month is all about celebrating the USA! Whether you're watching fireworks or sipping sweet tea by the lake, I’ve got patriotic designs that sparkle with red, white, and blue pride — and they’re 20% off all month long!

Let’s raise a cup to our nation, to freedom, and to the brave men and women who make it all possible.

πŸ’¬ Let’s Chat

How are YOU celebrating this June? Do you have a favorite summer tradition, a Father’s Day memory, or a love story of your own? I’d love to hear it. Drop a comment or send me a message. I read every single one!

And as always — thank you for supporting my little handmade shop. You make this crafting adventure such a joy.

With love (the 1 Corinthians 13 kind),

What Makes a Handmade Gift So Special?

In a world full of mass-produced products, there's something deeply meaningful about a handmade gift. Every item in my shop is crafted by hand, with care and creativity poured into each piece. But when a customer asks for something custom? That’s when the magic truly happens.

Custom creations allow me to work directly with you, ensuring every detail—no matter how small—meets your vision. Together, we craft something more than a gift—we create a memory.

One of my favorite custom orders was a Father’s Day tumbler for a grandpa who loved fishing. It featured a fish on the line of a fishing pole, with each grandchild’s name on a small fish. It captured everything he loved most in one beautiful, useful keepsake.

Other custom pieces have honored cherished memories—a tumbler with a beloved pet, or a photo of a loved one who has passed. These gifts become treasures, carrying deep meaning for those who receive them.

This season is full of opportunities to give something truly unique:

May brings us Teacher Appreciation Week, Nurse Appreciation Week, and Mother’s Day

June celebrates Father’s Day and the incredible dads and grandpas in our lives

Handmade Gifts With a Meaningful Touch

In a world of mass-produced gifts, there’s something truly special about a handmade item. A gift crafted with love and care carries a unique meaning—it shows thoughtfulness, creativity, and a personal touch that no store-bought item can match. As we approach Easter, Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day, let’s explore how handmade gifts can bring joy to those we love and reflect the heart of giving.

Mothers are a gift from God, showing love, sacrifice, and wisdom in ways big and small. A handmade gift is a wonderful way to express gratitude for all they do.

Fathers and father figures play an irreplaceable role in our lives, offering wisdom, strength, and encouragement. A custom, handcrafted gift is a meaningful way to show appreciation.
